Ministries

Adult Small Group
	This Bible Study or small group is mainly driven by group discussion and is held downstairs in the fellowship hall here at the church from 6pm until 7pm each Wednesday night. We have a nice group that meets faithfully each week and we encourage you stop in. Coffee and refreshments are always provided. We hope to see you there!

Worship Team

Each Sunday, we start our service with Praise and Worship to our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our music ranges from foundational Hymns to Contemporary Christian music. We strongly belive that worship prepares the heart of every believer to receive the preaching of His Word. There is no greater feeling than to worship with other believers in Spirit and Truth.

Men's Ministry

As needs from our community come through Love Inc, our Men's Ministry helps the clients as best we can. Service projects, small repairs, moving and transporting furniture are some examples of the work that they do. With each delivery or service project, we are able to show Christ and His love for them through our ministry efforts. 1 John 3:18 " Little children, we must not love in word or speech, but in deed and truth; that is how we will know we are of the truth, and will convince our hearts in His presence". We are always looking for servants to join us in this ministry.

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 11:00AM until 12:30 PM. Food and other everyday household items are available to those in need. Call the Church for more info! Julie Slough is our Food Pantry Coordinator.

Women's Small Group

You are invited to join other women from Houghton Baptist to study God’s Word together. Come and join us in a time of prayer, study and fellowship! We have two separate Bible Studies thar are made available. We have one that meets every Tuesday night in Chassell from 6:30pm-8pm and is lead by Joanne Kuntze. The other is hosted by Kate Larsen on Sunday mornings here at the church from 9am-9:50am. We would love to have you stop in!

Family Fun Day
	The annual Family Fun Day is an opportunity for Houghton Baptist to reach our community on a larger scale. Each year, we obtain the use of the Copper Country mall and provide a day of food, Praise music and games for the children all at no charge. We also provide "meals-to-go" free of charge to families in need on a first come, first serve basis.

Missions
	“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” - Matthew 28:18 Our goal is not only to reach out to those in our own community, but to people around the world. We have been on Mission trips to France, Canada and Peru.
